**AN UPDATE ON MITCHELL WAY & SMOLLETT FOUNTAIN**

No Monday morning blues this week. Good news, team from Central Demolition Ltd is currently in Mitchell Way. Demolition starts today and should be complete in 13 weeks. Also, work being carried out on the Fountain this morning.
Also good to note that lamposts are a modern addition so Fountain restored to original.

ALEXANDRIA CC AGENDA 15.5.24: Welcome, Apologies, Previous Minutes – 3rd April 2024 etc
The new Alexandria Community Market was held on Saturday 4th May 2024, and it was complete with 19 unique stalls
And it’s gone. The month of April was a busy one for Tullichewan TRA in the sun, rain and everything in between. Tough times continue for many in the community and West Dunbartonshire Council has declared a “housing emergency”. The “Cost of Living Crisis” bites more and more.

The old lamp posts will not be returning to the fountain after improvement works due to road safety reasons as confirmed by WDC Regeneration
Alexandria CC have been successful in our bid through public vote for our application for £4,500 to install new notice boards in the town centre.
Yesterday evening was Alexandria CC’s first meeting since West Dunbartonshire Council announced its budget for year 2024/25 on Wednesday 6th March 2024.
